Bienfait Rwanda Recognized at the JADF Open Day in Rutsiro
Bienfait Rwanda was proud to participate in the Joint Action Development Forum (JADF) Open Day in Rutsiro District, together with government institutions, health facilities, civil society organizations, and development partners committed to improving the lives of communities.
The event provided an important opportunity to present Bienfait Rwanda’s work in rehabilitation, disability inclusion, community-based healthcare, and eye care. During the Open Day, our team offered free eye care screenings to community members, helping to identify vision problems at an early stage and promoting better access to eye health services, especially for people living in rural and underserved areas.
Visitors also learned more about Bienfait Rwanda’s mobile outreach services, rehabilitation programs, assistive devices, and our commitment to ensuring that people with disabilities and vulnerable families receive the support they need to participate fully in society.
A special highlight of the day was the recognition of Bienfait Rwanda’s work by the Mayor of Rutsiro District, Dative, who expressed her appreciation for the organization’s long-standing dedication to supporting persons with disabilities, vulnerable families, and rural communities. We are deeply grateful for this recognition and for the encouraging words received from district officials, partners, and community members.
The JADF Open Day also strengthened the collaboration between Bienfait Rwanda and our long-term partner, 1000 Hügel e.V. Representatives of 1000 Hügel were present at the event, demonstrating the strong partnership and shared commitment to improving inclusive healthcare, rehabilitation, and sustainable community development in Rwanda.
We sincerely thank the Rutsiro District, the JADF organizing committee, our partners, and everyone who visited our stand. Your trust, support, and appreciation motivate us to continue expanding access to rehabilitation, eye care, and inclusive services for communities across Rwanda.
Together, we continue working towards a healthier, more inclusive Rwanda where everyone has the opportunity to live with dignity and participate fully in society.
