How our work and the project is financed
The Bienfait Project is mainly financed by the generous financial support of the Else Kröner Fresenius Stiftung from Germany and private donors. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them once again.
We rely on donations and grants for our work and appreciate your support.
Our Mission
Mission: To support (primary) health care, education and socio-economic development of children and youth with disabilities
Health services at the local level, especially where infrastructure is weak, are supported and health workers are strengthened. Capacity building of local forces will improve both the quality and accessibility of health services.
The mobile diagnostic team’s visits from village to village is an innovative approach that is very service-oriented and reaches people where they live. Due to their disabilities and the poor infrastructure in rural areas, they find it difficult to access such services. Treatment centres for people with disabilities are good and important, but simply not accessible for many people with disabilities living in rural areas. Therefore, it is important to provide them with the help in their immediate environment.
Our Vision
Vision: All education, health care and social welfare barriers towards people especially children and youth with disabilities are removed in Rwanda and no one is left behind.
This project has a sustainable effect for several generations and has a short-, medium- and longterm impact. The life perspectives of children and young people with disabilities as well as the living conditions of the families in particular are sustainably and directly improved and a better health situation and coping with everyday life with more independence and self-determination is achieved.
The mobile team reaches people where they live. Due to their disabilities and the lack ofinfrastructure, it is difficult for them to take advantage of such services in other places, such as Kigali.
